Scottish Charity Air Ambulance
I had just arrived in Aberfoyle and was enjoying a cuppa when we heard the sirens of police cars, fire engine and ambulance travelling at speed along the High Street.
News travels fast in the village and it seemed that a motor cyclist had an accident just outside the Tourist Office. Further information unfolded and seemingly the cyclist had had a heart attack ..... must have been a terrifying experience.
I had a message to do for Morna so took the back road through the car park to the Co-op. In the field beside the car park was the rather splendid looking air ambulance. I haven't seen many helicopters at close hand, most have been high in the sky when I heard them ...... very, very noisy when they start up the engine and rise into the air.
