Buses & LB
Today a rather sad day.
A former colleague and friend from Oxford, Sara, along with her partner and her four children, are holding a funeral for Connor.
He was only eighteen when he died on the 4th July. He died whilst staying in Mental Health Assessment Unit for young people with learning disabilities (Connor was Autistic and despite a very happy life began to experience some mental health difficulties in the last few months of his life). He was found dead in the bath. It is thought that he had an epileptic fit, although his death is being investigated by CID. It is such a tragedy.
Sara has had such a lot to cope with, including press intrusion, a police investigation, and so much unexplained. We are all thinking of her and with her.
Sara had been writing, over the last few years, about Connor, or 'Laughing Boy' as he was nicknamed, and she relayed many hilarious stories that reveal what an original, funny, and great individual 'LB' was. She's also a fabulous photographer and took many beautiful images of him. The blog is now a rather moving memoir. I had recommended some fellow blippers to it and still do. It's at: http://www.mydaftlife.wordpress.com
LB loved buses and lorries so a lot of Sara's friends have turned their facebook profiles to images of buses and Eddie Stobbart lorries. I also went out for some bus spotting along Victoria Road this morning in his honour.
