Medway Pride

Medway has two annual events that (so far) Bedford cannot match: The Sweeps Festival on MayDay and Medway Pride in Summer. This year I have introduced both events to D, who has enjoyed the experiences.
This year's pride included a set by Tania Alboni as Amy Winehouse - she had the voice (both singing and bantering with the crowd), as well as the body gestures, off to a tee. The same performer thrilled us last year with her perfect impersonation of Cher. Truly a prodigious talent. She also finished the event with a second set, as no-one in particular, but featuring a wide range of hits from the 90s.
