Waddesdon Manor
We had a visit to our most local National Trust property this afternoon.
In the summer sunshine the grounds look magnificent. The extras show the house through the fountains, the parterre garden, a three dimensional garden (the robin) and finally a tribute to Jacob Rothchild who was the financial power behind the resurrection of the property. Sadly he passed away in the spring of this year.
Since 1957 the property has been jointly managed by the National Trust and the Rothchild family. It has become a significant tourist attraction.
