A buzz of excitement......

This morning Flossie and I discovered something which gives me hope for the future of our plants. In an old rabbit hole there is a new swarm of white tailed bumble bees. I have never seen them en-masse before, the only bees I have seen have been solitary species so this was something quite different for me to observe.

I hope people don't do anything silly or damage the nest site, it's right alongside a pathway. It may be worth putting up a notice to advise folk that the bees are not dangerous, just happy to be left alone and enjoy life.
