Gladiolus and Black Eyed Susan Blossoms

We had several thunderstorm cells pass over us this afternoon. 
It actually was pleasant to hear the rain drumming on the roof. 
We took advantage of the rainy weather to share a spirited game of scrabble. 
The game was hard fought,  but several brilliant plays late in the game made it a runaway rout for Kathy.
The sun popped out again to light up the rain-drenched backyard flowers beautifully.
