Aaargh! I think we've had a visit from aliens...!

It's not quite a crop circle, but  this looks highly suspicious of the landing/take-off site of an alien spacecraft on our lawn. That burnt-out centre must surely have been caused by the rocket exhaust, and the burnt square surrounding it would be the result of its rocket thrusters stabilising it as it landed. Surprisingly we never heard any weird noises.

Of course I admit there may be a more a more prosaic explanation. This is where I placed the incinerator about 10 days ago, when I was burning some garden rubbish. When I do this, I make a base of two heavy paving slabs one on top of the other to help protect the grass, but the heat may have damaged the surrounding lawn and in the centre it may have managed to seep through the double slabs. But that's a very boring explanation.

What's more, it's a Saturday and even though we only have a Silly Saturday host on the first one of each month, we can still be silly on any Saturday (or any day of the week if we wish!) - I'm sure Admirer would have had a chuckle!
