Life's Little Moments

Charlie

Having given over space yesterday to some of the kittens of BARKS rescue, I thought it only fair to give Charlie a moment in the sunshine today.  Although we got him from friends who had to rehome him after being assigned oversees, he originally came from BARKS as a young adult cat.  As best as we know, he is about 13 now and is living his best life.  As much as we miss Phoebe, I think Charlie is really enjoying being the only cat now.  He has become more talkative, more demanding of attention.  He's a big, sweet soul.

I picked bestie Kura up at the bus depot this morning.  We came back here, had lunch, had a good visit, and then loaded her and her bag into Hubs' truck.  They are now headed for Watkins Glen racetrack where Hubs will be racing this weekend.  Peg will meet up with Kura either at the track or at Hubs' hotel and Kura will spend the next 4-5 days with her.  They will be here on the Lane Tuesday.  I honestly can't wait to just wrap Peg in a huge hug.

The roofers are still here although it seems like they may finish the job today.  They had to remove a lot of the vinyl siding around the dormer windows to replace the flashing underneath which definitely took more time than what they originally estimated.  Fortunately, we are paying on the job, not on the hours.  I really hope they are able to wrap everything up tonight so that I can have my garden back.  I've missed my daily dose of nature these last 2 days.

Plain dark today. And now it is time to pick Jax up from daycare!
