A Fountain At Rufford Abbey

A strange day today… we left home just before 7 a.m. and drove to our daughter’s house. It was the first time we have seen youngest granddaughter since her 6th birthday so she was pleased to open her presents from us. We took the two dogs with us and left then with son-in-law while we went with daughter and the granddaughters to Rufford Abbey Country Park in Nottinghamshire.

We couldn’t leave the dogs at our house all day…

Anyway we had a fab time wandering around the park..the girls had a ‘superhero’ trail to follow and they loved looking out for various characters while we walked.

We took picnic lunches and bought ice creams before setting off back to their house.

We have brought the dogs back to our house again…as their humans are off for another ‘birthday break’ on Monday!  Not quite sure how long we will have the dogs for this time!!

Anyway, photo opportunities were limited as we were so busy…so I managed to grab a shot of this old fountain outside the abbey bath house.

A long and tiring day…
