Celebrating

The biggest news of the day is my sister coming through major surgery. It was 3 1/2 hours long, and the doctor said everything went well. I heard by 9 AM that she was back in the ward, recovering. I was so thrilled that when Diane and I met for coffee at 3, we had to do something special, so we checked out Alison Nelson's Chocolate Bar in Dubai Mall. As you can see, it overlooks the ice rink. It was cold, but we managed ninety minutes in it. I even ordered an iced coffee! We enjoyed watching the kids and adults skating.

My day began putting in a few hours at work before Stevie (Diane's husband) gave me a ride to the garage to bring home my car. It was shining as I walked up to it. I opened the door, and the inside looked brand new. They had cleaned every bit of it, including the glove box! Wow.

I swung by Spinneys for a few things before coming home and finishing the work day. Diane needed to collect her car from the same part of town that I was in the morning, so I gave her a ride.

The evening consisted of watching Singing in the Rain on DVD, Mary Poppins Returns and Saving Mr. Banks which is such a sad movie.
