Flourishing
A local handyman took out a tree for me at the beginning of the week. It wasn’t looking good and it was blocking so much light. The main sufferer was my clematis - the one I thought I’d killed.
Not only is is a survivor of my brutal and ignorant gardening, it’s also taking advantage of the unrestricted sunshine !
I’ve just had a sunflower heart disaster ! I use GardenWildlifeDirect to buy good quality bird supplies on line. They are usually good. Today my delivery of 25kg of sunflower hearts was successfully delivered. The charming delivery guy helped me lift it into the hall. I could then move it into the kitchen.
When I opened the cardboard box (not using scissors, even I know better than that), I discovered that the box of suet balls I’d also ordered had punctured the bag.
12.5 kg all over the kitchen floor is not fun. I set to sweeping and rescuing it carefully with a dustpan and brush. I worked hard, built up a sweat and uttered rude words.
I’ve now composed an email. It may have no effect, but I felt better for it.
Have a good weekend, my blipfriends.
