I had my annual health check-up today. Preliminary feedback indicates all systems clear, although the consultant recommended a visit to my local chiropractors to check the slight tingling in my fingers and the soles of my feet as that could indicate rheumatism.

Following Appreciation's suggestion, I watched I, Robot last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will Smith gave another good performance - he's so darn cool - and the film was faithful in tone to Asimov's books, with a few recognisable scenes. I liked the fact that the filmmakers kept the gumshoe-in-the-future tone of the books, as well as the philosophical rumination. The visualisation was extremely credible; I can well believe the world of 2030 will look like this, especially with the way advances in AI and robot technology is advancing so rapidly. My only gripe was that Will Smith's character was said on several occasions to have a severe fear of heights and yet he seemed to exhibit barely any fear at all, especially during the climactic fight scene.
