A Bridge Across The Severn On A Saturday Night

...or a field near Kinross on a Sunday evening.

Impromptu visit to T in the Park today with Countryfile. Only realised it was on, found out Mary was going and decided to go too on Friday evening, so it was really a lovely surprise.

Hurts are a band whose first album, Happiness, I've enjoyed very much over the last couple of years, mostly during my commute to and from work. It wouldn't really have occured to me to go and see them play, but I was very chuffed to catch them at T, and to have had such an excellent view from near the middle of the front barrier! I loved seeing them and feel all "fannish" now! I downloaded their second album tonight, so that's tomorrow's bus journey sorted anyway. That's Theo in my Blip. Despite having listened to his voice so much for so long, I only learned his name yesterday! (and started following him on Twitter today...)

Loved seeing other bands as well, although it really consolidated how out of touch I am. I'd hardly heard of anyone. Of course I'd heard of Stereophonics though, and of course I'd heard of (and really, really like) the Killers too, so had a fab time bopping away at the front of the main stage during their sets in the evening. I am not hardcore enough to deserve the barrier spot really when there are so many dedicated fans out there but, you know, it is the best place to be:)

Didn't get home til 3.30am though, and on a school night! And then then blimmin seagulls kept me awake..... I am too old to be going into work on two hours' sleep and with ears still ringing.

Good fun though:)

Back blip.
