Allermuir Hill

A lovely day, which can mean only one thing. The first day of a new school year in Scotland. A nice lunchtime walk around the park. Some views, but very hazy. We walk along a path near the school, and in a tree, we spot a toy, Extra, that must have been lost on this morning's walk to school.

Very hot in the front room where I am working, even with the windows open. So it was very nice to go outside in the sunshine. We walk past the spot where the toy was, and is no longer. In Braidburn Valley Park, I check the common ragwort plants for cinnabar moth caterpillars, but none found, which is a shame. So a blip is from a viewpoint that gives a nice clear view of Allermuir Hill. On our way back home, we sit in the park in the sunshine for 20 minutes or so before heading home.
