Today we visited the beautiful town of Aubeterre Sur Dronne. A wonderfully picturesque town built of white stone and set into a hill side it has windy streets and an ancient monolithic church carved out of the rock face. I found this memorial which appears to translate as above but have been unable to find out who it refers to……. Any information gratefully received.
