Korean Needlepoint
This is a closeup of a very large, very detailed needlepoint that my father received from a Koran library as thanks for a bunch of physics magazines my dad sent them. It’s about five feet high and took a year to make. The woman who made it won the top award in an art contest with this piece. It was in our living room and I used to love seeing the delicate stitches that make up the two birds and the area where they are standing. It used to be brighter but faded in the California sun. It wasn’t in direct sun but enough light reached to cause it to fade. Even so I still love it and chose to inherit it even though it needs lots of space to display.
