Heather

We decided to go in search of heather today. Lingmoor Fell sounded a likely place.
It was a cracking day, warm sunny and beautiful.
After parking at the Old Dungeon Ghyll pub we walked up to the top of Lingmoor Fell. The heather was stunning and the smell was strong. We sat in such a perfect spot for our lunch it was difficult to tear ourselves away and carry on walking. The summit was a bit different from the last time we went when it was cold and cloudy, and there was no heather!
We got down to the pub for a refreshing drink after our walk. A really lovely day.
