La Cave

Found it difficult getting any food shops open, all seemed closed on a Wednesday. Cycled to Souillac and stopped for coffee. Afterwards we went into an art exhibition in an old church. Liked the sculptures but not the paintings. Left Souillac and headed for La Cave.

We bought tickets and waited for the train that would take us into the cave. We then had the option of a lift or steps (I took the lift). There were 12 fairy-like rooms with all kinds of stalactites and stalagmites in different shapes. As it was we were up and down 400 steps! It was amazing, the pools of water reflected the shapes on the water as is illustrated in the image. Chose this one from many.

Then cycled to a campsite 2km further on. Only 29 km.
