CHEESE
This morning, the Minx put the first coat of paint on the exteriors and interiors of the new cupboards that we've had fitted under the stairs, while I set about tidying the music room.
We broke off for a late lunch around two o'clock and after some deliberation about what we fancied doing, the Minx suggested we go to the "new cheese place out near Settle".
I honestly can't remember just how new this place actually is. The best part of thirty years ago it was some sort of falconry centre: I remember taking Charlie there when she was perhaps only a year or so old.
For along time now, though, it's been a food place of some type, although I get the impression it's changed hands fairly recently.
Anyway, we drove out there and as we approached we saw some signs saying that they now offer wood fired pizzas, so that was our lunch plans sorted.
Sadly, the wine shop wasn't open. They sell natural wines, which I'm quite interested in. But the cheese shop was and absolutely packed with cheese and people. There must have been half a dozen people serving and the smell was incredible.
But we made our way through to the restaurant and enjoyed the view and a pizza, both of which were excellent.
PS Also today, I finally got around to uploading the handwritten Blips for the last week of June when I was doing my digital detox.
