The Foxe Residence

Today I took my wife and Hollie dog to Bromfield, essentially to walk the riverside trail and let Hollie swim in the tranquil waters of the river Teme. It is a sublime level walk with views of distant Shropshire Hills, Mortimer Forest and glimpses of the Titterstone Clee. Here the Teme meets up with it's tributary The Onny and flows down through Ludlow on it's journey to hook up with the River Severn at Worcester.

We walk here often, it is easy for Mrs I, it is perfect for Hollie dog and it has excellent tea rooms at Ludlow Farm Shop.

After the walk I took Mrs I to St. Mary The Virgin's Church especially to see the ruins of the priory house, blip, once the private residence of Charles Foxe,

We stopped here for a while and had a very enjoyable chat with J, the paid groundsman for the church and retired estate worker.

Then we went to Leintwardine, just over the Herefordshire border to take refreshment at the splendid Sun Inn and let Hollie swim in the river Teme just below the magnificent bridge and just downstream of the river's junction with the River Clun. 

A lot of rivers today, but we just go with the flow....
