Portgorden Harbour Tonight .

Last night of wild camping before 10 days in a static caravan at Findhorn. The journey north seemed a long one today , we kept to the east side of the country bypassing Melrose and Aberdeen . I found the countryside uninspiring as it’s mainly used for arable farming and has quite a sterile feel to it . The sun was shining as we reached Portgorden and after parking up and having a quick walk we went in search of seals , taking great care to keep our distance. We found two groups resting on the sand, each group made up of a mix of Common seals and grey seals . We watched them for a bit through our binoculars and then turned our attention to the hundreds of seabirds that were gathering . The estuary of the river Spey is just down the coast and its nutrient rich waters lead to an abundance of fish , hence the birds and the seals .
Thank you for all your comments and stars , they are really appreciated.
