Tiny Marks For Tiny Tuesday

The theme is paper. This is special art paper known as Pastelmat. It is a little like sandpaper without the harshness and is designed for pastels. However it is also perfect for coloured pencils. 

To create a detailed picture in pencil takes many layers and many,  many tiny strokes, generally in the direction of the fur or feathers. 

This is a work in progress so you can see both the details of the pencil work and the structure I use to ensure the proportions are correct.
