Gila Woodpecker

Mrs. Woodpecker was picking bugs off of the saguaro. These woodpeckers are vital to our desert ecosystem. By picking bugs from these giants, it helps to keep them in good health. I took it through my kitchen window, about 45ft/14m away with my 75-300 mm lens. Love that lens!

I went for a much needed pedicure this morning. My feet now feel refreshed...ahhh....
A friend is taking me out for a birthday dinner. (It's not yet my birthday.)  In typical Green Valley (retirement town) fashion, the reservations are for 4:00. My birthday is about ten days from now but today fit into our schedules. I think I'm going to have eggplant parmigiana but don't hold me to it.
