Palmyre Zoo

Recommended by friends, we headed further south to the mouth og the Gironde estuary to visit this zoo. A bit different from Edinburgh Zoo with multiple opportunities to feed and touch the captives with sugary popcorn bought for 2Euros at the gate. It passed the time though.

Later as the temps reached 35C, we hit the beach at Royan and scorched our feet on the sand.
