Le Grand Defi

In the oakwood forest to the north of the chateau was an extensive high-wire course which was heavily advertised. We went for a wee look. And then spent almost six hours dangling from the trees having a great time. There were courses for all abilities from age 2 upwards. Once you were harnessed up, and given a brief 5minute instruction in pigeon English, you were let loose. 150metre zip wires across the lake were commonplace on most routes and you could spend the whole day if so desired.

What a contrast to Tree-Zone near Aviemore - it was soooo much better (and cheaper).

This wooden tunnel was suspended 10m above the forest floor and very difficult for overweight parents to squeeze through.
