Clifford's tower

Monday 
Light rain showers first thing. After breakfast we walked part of the city wall, then visited Clifford's tower, taking advantage of our Historic Scotland membership. We stopped for coffee and cake beside the river, then as it started raining again,  we visited the national rail museum. The sun was shining when we'd finished our visit, so we grabbed some sandwiches and had a picnic in one of the riverside parks. Continued walking around the city wall, then walked back through the city via the shambles. Back to hotel for a rest before going out again for dinner.
