Memories

I grew up surrounded by loads of Great Aunts -no siblings but simply loads of Great Aunts. This picture from the 70’s is of 3 of them.
We lived with Aunty ( my Great Aunt) seen here in the middle. She was a truly lovely soul, warm, loving and in honesty more of a Mum to me than Mum was. She died almost 20 years ago and I still miss her so much. Aunty Syl ( on the right in this photo) was Aunty’s sister in law and she lived next door to us and was quite a character! Aunty Ada ( on the left) was also Aunty’s sister in law , but on her husband’s side. She lived in Royal Wootten Bassett and used to come and stay every year in August for 2 weeks and return home in January! She was a lovely old soul too. So many happy memories in one small photograph.
