An ordinary life....

The moon over mini Stonehenge…

And so it was back to Portmeirion this morning to meet up with our third lot of blippers this holiday! :-))

Arranged to meet Withers and Jim at 11.00am in the car park for Jane to be given a crash course on how to collapse my wheels to go in her boot (David and Jim were heading off after lunch to play golf leaving me at the mercy of Withers!!) Also awaiting us were Blip stalwarts Blousey Brown and Bernard Young, long standing Blip pals of mine and Withers. I hadn’t met them before (Withers met them 10 years ago. It’s taken this long for them to recover! :-) and it was so lovely to finally put faces to their names.

Had a bit of a wander before heading to an outdoor cafe for lunch. The sunshine took much longer to appear than had been forecast but we managed to get a table under a large umbrella that sheltered us from the drizzle.

D and J left after lunch to play golf at Nefyn Golf Club and the rest of us wandered further around this bizarre place, then sat for a while to eat ice creams the size of our heads!

While this was happening, a bride and her flower girl appeared and we had ring side seats in the small crowd that gathered to watch as she and her flower girl made their way to wherever the ceremony was taking place.

In a sure sign that I was having fun, the afternoon passed really quickly. Withers and I had decided we were going to head to Criccieth on our way back to meet the guys. To our delight BB & BP decided to join us and we had further wanderings and and more lovely chat along the waterfront. We patted many dogs and I almost killed a blind lady by reversing into her!

After bidding farewell to BB & BP, Withers and I headed back to Aberdaron to meet up with D & J to have dinner in the hotel restaurant again only to find it’s closed on Mondays! No worries, the pub/restaurant across the road was able to accommodate us and we enjoyed more delicious food.

By now it was way past Jane’s bedtime. She needs her beauty sleep. So we made arrangements for tomorrow and bid them adieu.

P.S. After a tricky start disassembling my wheels, by the end of the day Withers had the hang of it. It was like watching an F1 pit stop! She is freakishly strong!

P.P.S. How wonderful is Blip that we can travel to Wales on holiday and spend quality time with fab people who without this site, we wouldn’t even know existed! It blows my mind! :-))

More pics in extras when I can get decent WiFi!
