Here and Now

I should retire this one. The collar and cuffs are fraying. It’s one of my favorites because of the quality cotton it was made from. And it still fits.

On that day, I remember it was a bit cold in Louisville, but not cold like up north. I tried to run, but running has never been in my genes, so I walked most of the course. My friend finished the race in good time. I checked the website and the running club still exists with the same name, but they ditched the logo in favor of something more pc (until someone is offended by or on behalf of turkeys).

I also recall the Thanksgiving meal where I was steadily stared at by the mother of my male friend. Creepy.

The rest is “just between an old memory and me”. Keith Whitley RIP
