Workshop barehoof trimming
Today, I joined a workshop to learn how a hoof should be trimmed to be most comfortable for the horse, to propagate healthy hoof growth and proper hoof mechanism. It included feeding tips, anatomy, and loads of other information.
In the afternoon, everybody got a hoof to work on to properly prepare it under guidance. Hard work!!!
At the end of the workshop, the instructors dissected a leg in front of us to show all the components and to make us more aware of how things work, to make us better understand the learned theoretical foundation.
