Memories

2GB – I’ve got files nearly that big . . .
 
With the theme of ‘Memory’ my thoughts went straight to the stash of memory chips rescued from sadly deceased computers.  Maybe they will wind up in a vintage PC of some sort at some time.
 
The glass contains memories of a different sort.
 
Nearly fifty years ago we were in the ‘Pub Trade’  I thought it would be a good line of employment to take after retiring from the sea after marrying Mrs W, but I was wrong – I’m just not cut out for it.  Anyway one evening I was a bit (?) down in the dumps and unbeknown to me one of our barmaids (Val – if you are out there) went round the customers getting them to buy me a Pimms – a good landlord’s evening tipple which I enjoyed neat.  I was presented with a pint glass over half full of Pimms.  I was happy.  In the blip that’s 50/50 with lemonade in the glass (many thanks to JacZero for putting the idea into my head yesterday).
 
Just finished a  marathon with O2 buying Pauline a new Smart Watch so that she can call for help if I’m not at hand.  1hr 6min on the phone – I wish we had bowed out and ordered on line . . .  With her RA  a fall means that it is almost impossible for her to get up, and for the first time in over two years we had another topple last night.
 
 
The blip photo is a bit of a cheat – an ‘in camera’ focus stack.  I think it worked out ok (and I didn’t have the energy left to do it properly).  I did develop it though.
