Another Invention from Michael Otto

For all of our lovely friend Mike's insane but reliable hairbrain schemes I've had the luxury of being a part of, I've only ever snapped a few of them. One of them, we can remember from about this time last year ~ the evening of the surfing water skiing.

This weekend, the invention was the Great Pacific Paddling Pool Hot Tub Experience. As Yurt Festers came and went, with varying levels of faith in the project, Mike spent the best part of the day tweaking his wood fired set up and tirelessly running backwards and forwards between the spa pool filled with lake water + the roaring fire in a metal bin. I don't think I was the only one who didn't think it would work, but by sun down, there was a real life hot tub party in full thriving swing. Mike would get to enjoy the warm bubbling water for 30 seconds or so, before leaping out in order to oversee the water exchange system he'd set up; all for the luxuriating pleasure of his friends.

Well, Michael Otto, you did it again.
