Coffee Morning

I did a talk to a lovely WI group a couple of months ago and one of the ladies said she would like to host a coffee morning to raise money for the charity. Little did I know that her talents for organising and persuasion are legendary; this morning was the coffee morning, and it raised an unbelievable amount of money - just over £1,000. She had even persuaded the local MP to send a bottle of House of Commons whiskey to raffle, plus various other members of the WI contributed crafts, plants, cakes - you name it.

The lady organising it was truly incredible, so full of energy and enthusiasm, I’m so grateful to her for all that she pulled together - and it only rained very briefly too. Awesome.
