DAY TRIP

After church The Rev and I went on a day trip. There had been lots of debating about what to do!!!!

We got the train and DLR to Greenwich. We had a walk up to the park and stopped at a pub for a drink and to share a sharer…£23 down and I only had a lemonade!!!
#We then walked through the market and shared an arancini…it was delicious. Wished we’d had one each!!
#Then onto the food market by the Cutty Sark for our main course!! The Rev had a roast chicken wrap and I had a lamb and feta. It was so hot so we went for a lay down in the shade.
We had planned to get an Uber boat up to London Bridge but The Rev booked a tourist cruise by mistake!!!! Funny when you live in London!!!

However it proved very interesting and I learnt things I didn’t know…Tower Bridge used to brown; Queen Victoria’s favourite colour!!!
#we were also incredibly lucky to see it opened for a tall ship to pass through. I’ve seen it before but never from the river.
We got off at Westminster and because I was tired we got a bus up to Trafalgar Square…
##where by pure luck I found a roof top bar. The perfect spot to finish off our day with a glass of wine and a NA cocktail for The Rev.

We were glad, exhausted , hot and bothered by the time we got home at 7. A great day.
