Seaview dinghy off Seagrove beach

Apparently these colourful dinghies are made in Seaview and this one was being slowly sailed along the beach against the tide.  There was a large fleet of them back by the yacht club, they are so pretty with their highly coloured sails.

We caught the midday hovercraft over to the Isle of Wight, Jonathan picked us up and took us to Penny and Vince’s.  Annie was there and Sue, who we’d met before.   They were all a bit fragile from a good party the night before.   We had a glorious lunch in the garden and then went down to the sea for a swim. It was quite choppy, busy and not that warm but enormous fun.  Walked to Clare and Rupert’s house that sits above the beach for an outdoor shower and some tea.

Sat around chatting and J dropped us back at the hovercraft but it was hugely delayed because the aircraft carrier, the Prince of Wales had effectively closed the channel across the Solent mid afternoon.  But we were home by 9 after a lovely day.
