Another day of searing heat. Walked at 5am and then did a joint walk at 1300m mid morning where high forest gave shade on the ‘panoramica’ that runs around the Pratomagno outlier of the Apennines.

As I write at 22:00 it is 25.5c outside and 28c in the bedroom. I see the heat is getting to the UK.

Collected up dry in-pod borlotti beans this evening. We ate a diminutive melon from the garden that was almost hot to the touch.
