Heather Time

An early start and up to Cannock Chase to take some photographs of the heather that is in full bloom in Sherbrook Valley.  I was surprised by the number of fallow deer on the western sides of the valley.  It seemed that each time I turned a corner on the paths or reached a high point there were more in front of me.  

After a while I swapped lenses and took some close ups of the heather (see extras).

Back for breakfast, the day was going to be a hot one.  I needed to check the shed and just as well as the back corner is rotting and there was a wide gap to sort out.  The day was spent on that and other garden chores.
