Wild Sunflower

The peas got planted in a bit of a mad rush before we headed off to Scotland. When we got home 5 weeks later the peas were doing fine and this sunflower was doing even better.
In the winter we'd been feeding the birds and I suspect one of the birds dropped a sunflower seed while perched on the window ledge. I certainly didn't plant it, but maybe next year I'll put a few in here as it seems very happy. This is definitely the warmest place in the garden, getting sun from very early until about 2 o'clock.
Jan woke up this morning feeling no better than yesterday so we were very happy to have returned home. When you feel ill it's good to have all your stuff around you.
Another blip-burst evening, with three back blips and this picture bringing me up-to-date.
