A glorious day…
hot, sunny, heathery and full of butterflies, re emerging in the fine weather! There were Common Blues, Small Coppers, Dark Green Fritillaries, Scotch Argus and Small Heath. Best of all was the sighting and recording of the rare invertebrates, Small Scabious Mining bees!! Their nest holes were opened earlier this week but I hadn’t seen any until this afternoon so put one is an extra. Oh there was a lizard too.
