Camouflage

I know, a very unconventional way to blip a bird, but I was fascinated by just how good the camouflage was on this turnstone.  It's in its adult summer colours and in extras is another, but in non-breeding colours.  The extra is in fact easier to see and because the two birds were very much together I'm guessing it's this year's chick just reaching maturity.  I have to say, although they were fairly close to me I almost missed seeing them altogether!

So you can guess where I've been today.  I went early and got back just after lunch.  In fact, by the time I reached home I was grateful to get inside, it's been incredibly hot.
