Im and I went to Westbere to pick up another eBay purchase (a lamp and some cushions), so we continued northeast afterwards and (after a strange Google misdirection down a farm track across a large field to perform a u-turn) found ourselves at "Wendy's Cafe", halfway between Sarre and Pluck's Gutter (a place name that we've already encountered because we stayed there in 2022 when we first started actively exploring Canterbury as a possibility).
Wendy's Cafe was a sweet farmhouse "caff", but we were most surprised by its eclectic garden with a large pond (we saw lots of dragonflies and damselflies, the many resident koi carp, and 3 tiny moorhenlings), a witch-themed hut, and its various garden areas developed around different themes. Fun and rather charming.
We could hear ducks but couldn't see them; when I asked, I was told that they have ~200 ducks and geese and sell the eggs...
