A Seven inch singles mosaic
Something put me in mind of my sixties 45rpm singles, so I dragged the box out. Here you see some mid-sixties ones. I bought many of these in an Oxfam shop where I voluteered for eleven years. Generally singles are not worth money, but I’ve always liked them. My fantasy would be to put all the best ones onto a good bassy mono jukebox. (My neighbours might not agree.)
Top row from l to r: Little Red Rooster-The Rolling Stones, Key to Love-John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Go Now-The Moody Blues; middle row: Mr Tambourine Man-The Byrds, Whatcha Gonna Do About It-Small Faces, Mellow Yellow-Donovan, bottom row: Sloop John B -The Beach Boys, Sweet William-Millie, Positively 4th Street-Bob Dylan.
Now I’m off to play some of them on my 1964 Philips portable player. (See extra)
