Another day, another thistle

We've been puppy-sitting again today and we were all very hot so didn't wander very far. So here is another thistle, this time it is not quite in flower. It was among a lot of tallish Yorkshire Fog (grass) so I have tried a different method of isolating it to bring out its prickliness (is that a word?)
