Poppies in a Barley ? Field

I have noticed large fields of red 'in the distance' on several occasions. Today we passed this field and loved the mixture of colour, texture and lines, difficult to choose which to blip.

We have left P and C following a great weekend with them and their lovely pusscat Pumpkin who enjoyed his 15 minutes of fame yesterday. We ventured into Horncastle in pursuit of some information about the Dr Barnardo's home. The place was easy to find, now an office for the social Service department. The lady in the office was more than helpful and suggested a couple of places to phone if more information is required. Trying to park the big van was a bit of a hassle, the council didn't appear to welcome motorhomes, however a wonderful lady was walking by and J accosted her, as is his wont, she was a mine of information and said she would write to the council about the silly restrictions they have placed on their car parking information board. Anyway we found another car park and paid for two parking bays.

That is the first time parking the van has proved to be a problem. This evening we are in a pub car park. It is very pleasant, beside a river, an old rail track suitable for cycles, prams etc and a lovely garden - with two goats. It's called the Riverside Inn and has some writing on the roof, the little I could read would indicate it is meant for somebody flying overhead and goes along the lines of 'if you can read this................ your wings.
