You’re not my Mum!

Took a quick walk to the pond this afternoon to see if there was anything new and spotted a bundle of fluff with big feet on the edge. A more elegant looking bundle of fluff was swimming around nearby while mother moorhen pecked around for food from the wild flowers and grasses at the side of the path. The youngster seemed momentarily confused about who its parent was, but the duck just ignored it. There seemed to be an older moorhen chick in the group too.
