A dramatic sky this morning at 6:30 brought a break in the heatwave as the cloud cover stayed most of the day and while it hasn't rained the temperature didn't go above 30C.

Some of our village shops, bars and the little restaurant have now closed for a summer break until the end of August as their owners and families head for the coast. I have enjoyed harvesting figs today and have a few kilos ready for the dryer tomorrow.
