Elk Country

Yesterday when I tried to blip I was told I already had a blip on that day, so there's a day missing.
Don't know what's going on, but haven't got time to worry about it.

Last night we spent in Crescent City, getting up early and driving south to Fern Canyon, right in the middle of Redwood country.
A circuit of Fern Canyon, which we did on our own, as we were there so early, so it was even more of a treat.
I'll put up a set on flickr sometime.
In the meantime, a shot of Michael in amongst it, to give you some perspective.

After the walk we headed a short way in the other direction and came across a group of elk quietly grazing.
I was very distant, but sent Michael back for the long lens a nd waited quietly until this buck eventually lifted his head.

Again, this is the bare bones of another hectic day.
