Big waves

The river was angry today as tropical storm Debby passed over. We made out pretty good. The tide was up but I've seen worse. The wind broke up my planters and some garden veggies (especially peppers) but the sunflowers and corn are still standing. Limbs and branches and debris left in the yard and someone's pier boards line the beach. The worse thing is we only got about 1/2" of rain.  Not enough to even water the garden.
I spent the day doing laundry, back blipping and making salsa. I also made hubby a tropical pineapple pie. He made us fried green tomatoes for lunch and crab cakes, tots and corn on the cob for dinner. He scratched several jobs off his list as well. It is nice to have a stay inside day now and then.
