From the memory cupboard. Souvenirs from 2004.
We were staying in Kefalonia. We saw the Olympic torch at Argostoli. It was visiting the island on its way to Athens. Early in the day, before the parade, a sad old Labrador type dog fell in with us, and we only managed to lose her after three hours. The next time we saw her she was in the parade with several other dogs following the dignitaries. The star of the show. We tried not to make eye contact.
