Funky art

We went to the coast and enjoyed time in Lower Largo, the birthplace of Alexander Selkirk who was supposedly the inspiration for Daniel Defoe’s Robinson Crusoe.
We found all sorts of quirky works of art round the place, from knitted postbox toppers to this carved gate.
We enjoyed lunch in a very dog-friendly cafe followed by a stroll along the beach. We then thought it would be a good idea to drive further along the coast to some of the fishing villages but soon discovered that there was an art festival happening which was extremely busy, making parking a nightmare. We cut our losses and took an inland route back to the campsite, stopping at a cheese farm to make a couple of tasty purchases. The heavens opened as we arrived back at Markinch so we had made a good decision.

Edit: I have added a few extras showing other works of art around Lower Largo.
